How the Game Works
Now that you know the basics of baccarat, it’s time to familiarize yourself with the rules. To win at baccarat, you must draw at least two or three hands of cards with a value close to 9. The values of all cards between 2 and 9 are equal to their numbers. Cards starting with 10 or more faces and cards starting with 10 are worth zero. Ace cards have a value of 1. You can only have two or three cards in your hand. Your goal is to get closer to 9.
You deal one card to the dealer and one card to the player. Then you deal one card to the player and one card to yourself. Depending on the total value of the two cards, you may draw another card or keep your hand. You can draw another card if the value of your hand with the first two cards is less than 5. With a value of 6 or 7, you can make a stand. If your hand value is between 8 and 9, you cannot draw another card. To win the game, you must pick the winning hand. That is, you must guess which hand has the closest value of 9.
